Want to become AI Fluent?
If you are hoping to become AI fluent, you should get and read this book. I liked it so much that I bought a second one last week. We are all at some level on the subject, but this helped me fill in some areas where I was weak. I've been using AI tools for years but now have thousands to choose from, so making the right decisions will be my goal. This book will teach you about the Karpman Drama Triangle, how to talk to your AI tools, and when to create your Agents. A Remarkable Book Simplifying the Complex.
I am not a techie by any stretch of the imagination. I aged into it.I have used a computer since 1978. While living in Australia, I worked on a huge, clunky machine, typing in yellow DOS commands, trying to press out words for a publication. Fast forward to 1988, I was living in San Diego where one of the first fiber-optic cables was laid. I bypassed dial-up and went straight to speedy internet service. Then came Amazon in 1994 and Google in 1998. I was in awe of the Brave New World. I have always been amazed at the progress over the years, but it wasn’t until AI came along that I started to feel intimidated by the unknown.There are, of course, a legion of articles, magazines, books, videos, YouTube, TikTok touting everything you need to know about AI— some fact, some fiction. Luckily, I came across Cheryl Goodman’s book that is oriented for “inquiring minds who want to know”.I understand a small bit of tech, but for me, the distance between a minute sector on a circuit board to AI seems like the distance from Earth to Mars.In brief: How To Win Friends & Influence Robots grounded me, in a world I could understand, in an environment that seemed murky, but now I can see the boundaries of what is possible, with the informed caution that I should consider.I have a few more questions and I appreciate Goodman’s newsletter updates. Best tech book on AI for those of us who are non tech but trying to understand this AI revolution
I work in education and just started using AI in my work. I still felt a little left out since other industries require more tech savvy employees. However, not only did I learn a tremendous amount concerning this new revolution, I walked away very informed and empowered by the resources she provides.
